Mission Statement
Established in 1975, the Love ‘n’ Laughter School is a unique school in early childhood education. Operated under the same director for 33 years, Love ‘n’ Laughter is totally committed to dependable care for your child. The teachers at Love ‘n’ Laughter have been associated with the school for a cumulative total of 60 years. This is unheard of in childcare today. The Love ‘n’ Laughter School commits itself to reasonable rates; rates that help maintain an experienced staff.
Educational Philosophy
Early childhood learning (2 to 6 year) is natural and spontaneous. It has proven to be the “genius” period for developing the mind and its natural love for learning.
Children in good early childhood settings are observed to feel more safe and secure, to have fewer behavioral problems, be more proficient with language, display improved intellectual development and have a much easier and successful transition into kindergarten.
At Love ‘n’ Laughter our focus is on the development of the whole child. We believe in giving the child opportunities to choose activities that encourage creativity and imaginations thereby helping the child develop independence and decision making abilities.
Young children learn through their senses and through motorized manipulation. Pouring sane from one container to another is a successful experience for\ a young child. These kinds of activities build self confidence in a young learner and they are encouraged to go on to other levels of experiences. They lean that fun and learning are synonymous and thereby become eager learners.
At this early developmental stage, we are committed to developing self discipline through working for the good of all, in a grout situation, and helping the child act constructively. Kindness, compassion and gentleness are stressed, as the ends to a “peaceful classroom.” This is an ongoing project, one that never ends, and is a vital part of the process of growing up.
A home and school environment rich in proper educational and social experiences ensures an enormous head start in the exciting and rewarding process of learning.
Social Development
Interactive skills, manners, sharing, getting along, coping skills, independence, kindness to others, gentleness, and cooperation are some one the many social skills that Love ‘n’ Laughter promote on a daily basis.
We believe in conflict resolution to resolve disputes or unacceptable behaviors, thus enabling each child to feel a part of our school group, to make friends, play and cooperate with others.
Outdoor Play
Physical development is one of the most important aspects of a young child’s needs. Outside play affords child gross motor skill development, freedom and socialization skills; giving the child a confidence that carries over into other developmental areas.
Health and Safety
Programs emphasize cleanliness, hand washing and safe procedures in the classroom and outdoors.
